Canyons/Park City
Canyons is located in Park City, Utah. Located just 4 miles from historic Main Street, Canyons is the closest Park City ski resort to the Salt Lake City International airport and close enough to enjoy all the nightlife, dining and shopping that the town of Park City has to offer. Over 100 bars and restaurants are just minutes away as well as all the other activities you should expect from a world class four season resort town. The century-old mining town of Park City will capture you-as it did the rest of the world during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
Skiing at Canyons / Park City
During the 2016 northern hemisphere summer, Vail Resorts plan to link two of North America’s greatest ski areas – Canyons and Park City, creating the largest resort in the United States with 7,300 acres of skiable terrain.
The plan will bring to fruition more than $50 million worth of resort improvements including The Interconnect Gondola – An eight-passenger, high-speed gondola running from the base of Silverlode Lift at Park City to Canyons’ Flatiron Lift. When conditions allow, gondola passengers will be able to unload at the top of Pine Cone Ridge and ski or ride directly down to Park City’s Thaynes Canyon trail. This gondola connection will create the single largest ski resort in the United States.
Getting to Canyons
Getting to Canyons is easy! Fly directly from Australia to Salt Lake City, then sit back in a luxury motorcoach, limo or car rental for the 40 minute transfer to Canyons.
Why not take a stopover en route to Canyons to extend your trip? Spend a few days in Los Angeles and treat the kids to a trip to Disneyland. Or, stop over in Las Vegas, see the amazing Casino complexes, take in a show or fly out to the Grand Canyon.

For younger children the cheerful, state-licensed Day Care Centre in the Grand Summit Resort Hotel is full of age-appropriate games, toys and activities to keep your little ones happy and entertained.There’s no question about it. Happy kids are the key to a great vacation. The Perfect Kids ski school professionals at Canyons will make sure your kids have one terrific time while learning and improving as a skier or rider. Ski school departs outside the conference venue, the Grand Summit, with lessons and adventures camps for children from 4 years old. Pick up and drop off times in general fit in with lectures, to create a stress free day for all the family.
Activities in and around Canyons for the entire family
Activities abound all year round in the Canyons/Park City area. Try the Zipline, take a sleigh ride, a hot air balloon ride, stroll through the art galleries, museums or take a historic tour.
The Olympic dream is alive and all around in Park City, Utah. The Utah Olympic Park is an active and engaging monument to the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Here you can explore Olympic and skiing history at the museums then attend a fantasy camp for bobsled skeleton, luge, slope-style and Nordic events, including experiencing five G’s of force on The Comet winter bobsled ride. And our Olympic legacy continues as the world’s best compete in Park City at Olympic qualifiers for a chance to represent their country at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Russia.
